I’ve been racing both road and mountain bikes successfully at the regional and national level for 23 years, Securing my Category 1, Elite level license by age 19. I also run a bit but would definitely say my passion is cycle racing. I’ve won 20+ State Championship titles and 1 National Championship. I have been in the top 5 in national championship events on 5 separate occasions. I have raced distances from 1 mile to 510 miles.
From an educational standpoint, I have a B.S. in human physiology and am finishing my graduate studies in Public Health where my interests lie in diabetes prevention, education and management. I hold coaching credentials from USACycling, and The United States Triathlon Association.
My coaching experience over the past 16 years has seen me coach cyclists, runners, triathletes, and rowers/kayakers. I’ve coached athletes as young as 11 and as old as 84. I’ve coached 4 national champions. I’ve also worked with numerous Ultra-Distance cyclists, helping them train and finish the Race Across America.
My strength as a coach lies in being able to balance the science and art of training by using both my science education balanced with my real world experiences in sport.
